The past few days I have been very active on LinkedIn and Facebook (a little less). My reach is bigger, business or not, this is very important…

• May 15, 1940 was the capitulation of the Dutch army to the Germans
• May 15, 2024 was the day this coalition agreement was sealed

Both moments are for me a deep dark day in history. Apart from this parallel, I see many other parallels in current politics with that of then. For years this was not allowed to be said, this week a number of things happened that prove that history repeats itself.

A summary:

• There is a centre-right cabinet.
  • However, if 1 party, the PVV, has no democratic foundation and dismisses a population group based on religion. Dismisses refugees as the cause of our own failed (right-wing) policy, then that is EXTREME RIGHT and something is really wrong!
• When we hear Caroline van der Plas, BBB, use the words from the PVV programme
  • I get the feeling of a PVV-plus party and something is really wrong!
• When Mona Keijzer, also BBB, tars all people from Islamic countries with the same brush, characterises Islamic culture as anti-Semitic
  • This feeling of PVV-plus is further strengthened and something is really wrong!
• When we hear Martin Bosma (as speaker of he house) say in the House of Representatives as chairman that we can no longer call “Extreme Right” “Extreme Right”
  • Something that is extreme is normalised. That is not NORMAL and something is really wrong! – When we hear Geert Wilders joke that he can ‘just make Agema’ party leader, so that he can become prime minister. That clearly shows his dictatorial views and something is really wrong!
• When we hear Geert Wilders correct the Speaker of the House because he (the Speaker) should think about who he owes that job (Speaker of the House) to
  • This is further confirmed and something is really wrong!
• If we hear on LinkedIn from influential people in high positions that the NSDAP is a left-wing party because the S stands for Socialist
  • Then there is something wrong with general knowledge, even among highly educated people) and something is really wrong!
•  If the influx of refugees is called a Tsunami, where it is among the lowest in Europe
  • Something is wrong and something is really wrong!
• If that influx is 0.2% (max) of the population, that is far from a tsunami
  • Something is really wrong!
• Even the name Tsunami is extremely wrong…
• If the distribution law is cancelled where this is the first and best solution for Ter Apel for example.
  • The only thing that happens there is the maintenance of their scapegoat and something is really wrong!
• If CPB figures speak volumes, but are dismissed by the right as left-wing propaganda
  • Something is really wrong!
• If I am called “Volkert 2.0” (Volkert van der Graaf was an radical individual who killed an extreme right politician Pim Fortuyn in may 20002) by continuously raising this issue, comments like “the bullet comes from the left” are thrown at me and more of that kind of reaction are made
  • Something is really wrong!

Let’s please vote on June 6 for a strong and (more) left Europe.
