“Where Miracles Begin”

A Personal Story – Part 3

In part 2, “Between Love and Emptiness,” I briefly mentioned a course I started in September of this year: The “Miracle Roadmap” (MRM) of “365 Days of Success.” It’s a journey where you can work on your personal development every day for 100 days. You’ll be challenged daily, through an inspiring story (in a video), to embark on a journey to who you are, deep inside. It sounds vague and not really my thing, but these years have changed me. And this step, this course, literally became the impetus for UW-TOPIA. UW-TOPIA is the new organization Jonas and I are launching. But first, back to MRM…

After all, it’s Christmas Eve. The night we celebrate the birth of Jesus (although for many, this is barely noticeable and far beyond the festive atmosphere). Jesus, a Man of miracles, we celebrate the miracles He performed in His life, from His birth onward.

For me, part 3 is about miracles….

Within MRM all participants are divided (geographically) into circles – groups with whom you’ll spend the next 100 days. You can reflect, talk, discuss, share, and develop with them. A beautiful concept! We use a few app groups: one to share lessons, one to share experiences, one to share your “wonders.” And recently, one to meet up with each other.

For example, in a 365dagen succes app group, the question arose whether the flow I was in was positive or negative. I had canceled a meeting with my circle because I was in a different flow than the group. I’ll share my response to that question below:

“Of course you can ask that. You can ask anything, and then it’s up to me whether I want to answer and whether I will. And I do want to answer and I will :)” and continued:

“I just don’t know the right answer. It’s different. I’m in a good flow, things are going well, let me be clear about that right now. I’m just not any further along with MRM (lesson 9 🫣). And that puts me in a completely different flow than “collaborating on a mood board together, where I have no idea what it’s about.” I don’t mean this in a bad way, but I don’t think that’s what I’m looking for right now.

To give you a glimpse behind the curtain. MRM has been a rollercoaster ride for me since day one. I’ve already told you about the miracle of “Jonas” (not the man from Nineveh, but the one who asked me to coach him). From that coaching, I developed the desire to organize a two-day leap year event with him (which took place last week) (happened) and then the shared desire to establish a new organization to make everything concrete and give it shape: “Uw-Topia” became that. Last Thursday/Friday, a group of nine experts participated in a 24-hour event in Lunteren (I personally think it’s a better name than “Spring Two Days”). During these 24 hours, we shared our mission and vision, and nine experts were able to question us and each other on a number of topics.

We also got to watch a 3D film about Earth, highly recommended. You fly from space to Earth (and back). You get a painfully beautiful glimpse of how small our Earth is and how insignificant we are on it. And it’s the only habitable planet in existence. If, statistically speaking, there were another one. What we currently know in terms of dimensions is at least hundreds of years away from here… if you could travel at the speed of light. However, that’s impossible and never will be (because then you would essentially stop time). And we are rapidly ruining that one little blue dot and making it uninhabitable. Make it happen. That has to change! And thankfully, it can! Everything needed is already here. It’s just a matter of choice!

And that’s exactly what Uw-Topia stands for. We think, no, we know (and can prove it) that by 2050 (yes, only 25 years from now) we can have built all (yes – ALL) childcare facilities (for children aged 0-18) sustainably, circularly, innovatively, and inspiringly. Why do we think that? Everything we need is already here! It’s just a matter of choice!! And we choose now to embark on that path. For those who are thinking: It’s even financially feasible 😊

And why do we want that? It’s our part in building for and towards the future. Because the future isn’t ours or for us; it’s ours, for our children, generation after generation after generation. And we need to understand THAT, and we want to do our utmost to achieve it. The experts at 24h are all convinced it can be done! So, we’re moving on… With catchy names:

We named Jonas Mischief: Actually, MiSIONchief (Chef de Mission). Sion represents the dream world (our utopia) we envision. But we’ll keep it short “Mis-chief” because we love brilliant failures from which we can learn so much. I’ve been given the title CIO: Chief Inspiration Officer. Because we want to inspire people to take action. To embark on a journey with us and make the world a better place.

I could have also shared this in the “miracles” app group, because it feels like a miracle to me that this came my way. It does explain why I renamed my company from I-Cons (Information Consultancy) to Ideas4Life years ago, because I wanted my life, my ideas, to make the world/life more beautiful than I found it. I’m convinced that’s precisely why this came my way. It’s taken years and some detours, but the moment has arrived: Uw-Topia is ours, but also everyone’s. An open, inspiring organization that literally anyone can be a part of. You too! Think you have something to contribute to this cause? Drop us a line, and we’ll make you its leader. Welcome!!!”

Meanwhile, we’ve secured our first contract, and in 2026 we’ll truly launch UW-TOPIA and start working towards our wonderful goal. In short, almost a dropout (although that’s impossible, because everyone follows their own journey in their own way and at their own pace, but still) from the MRM, yet fully engaged in a new, completely different future. With completely different work, a different work environment, but above all, finally, goals that matter. My company, founded almost 20 years ago as I-Cons and transformed over 10 years ago into Ideas4life.pro because it encapsulates my desire that my life here on this planet should make a real difference. Ideas for life, making life more beautiful, not just for me, but for the world. Think big, act small. Every drop is one in the hope that when I close my eyes, my children will say to me: “Dad, you wanted to make the world a little more beautiful, and you succeeded!! Thank you!!” That would be the very best and most beautiful reward for me…
